Forensic Texts

Welcome to the Forensic
Linguistics Institute
We investigate and solve crime using language, and
we give evidence in court on questions of authorship,
interpretation of meaning and on genuineness of text.
We are engaged by police forces, private
investigators, insurance companies, large and small
corporations, and private clients across the world.
Here are some of the questions people ask about
forensic linguistics:
Where can I get expert advice on the authorship of a
document?
What kinds of documents do you examine?
Where can I study forensic linguistics?
What books are there on the subject of forensic
linguistics?
Is forensic linguistics recognized by courts?
Are your courses accredited?
What is authorship?
What is ‘genuineness of text’?
What is colorcation?
