MSc and MRes in Forensic Linguistics

Dr. John Olsson and his colleague Dr June Luchjenbroers are 

currently submitting a proposed MSc and MRes in Forensic 

Linguistics for academic evaluation at the School of Linguistics at 

Bangor University. The MSc will be by a combination of blended 

learning and distance learning, including video lectures, seminars by 

‘skype’, and personal contact between lecturers and students. 

Students will be able to gain this qualification from their home 

location, without physically attending a single lecture.

We believe the combination of one of the UK’s longest established 

Linguistics Departments, and one of the world’s most experienced 

forensic linguists will bring a unique and valuable learning 

experience to students wherever they are in the world.

If the degrees are approved by the University, we are aiming for a 

January 2011 start date for them.
