"...I am a student and I have been accused of plagiarism - what do I do?..."

If you are a school, college or university student or researcher and you have been accused of plagiarism, then do the following:

  • Don't sign anything. Don't admit anything. Don't confess to anything.
  • Get the support of your family and friends. Don't go into isolation or hibernation. If you discuss the matter with others, do so dispassionately. Don't take a "Them Against Me" attitude.
  • Contact us to find out if we can take your case. Even if we do not take your case we will not inform anyone that you have contacted us. If we agree to take your case we will need to see the text/s in question. These can be sent by e-mail or surface mail.
